The Eldorado has been home to many famous personalities in the past including Marilyn Monroe, Michael J. Fox and Carrie Fisher among others. The building is famous because of its Art-deco style designed by popular architect Emery Roth in collaboration with Margon & Holder. The twin peaks of Eldorado add beauty to the cityscape of the Central Park area. In fact, it has already been declared as a landmark because of its very distinctive look. Among the unique characteristics of the building is its lower floor which has a basketball facility and a children’s playroom that the residents of all ages can use. This is not something that most residential building in the area has so the building caters to those who like sports and live an active lifestyle. It also has a laundry room, fitness room and common storage that fit the needs of the residents. Though the building was not initially built for the high-end clientele, it has proven to have a beauty of its own.
